Subject: ~The End; Goodnight~ Thu Aug 14, 2008 3:20 pm

-Underground Crystal Palace, Midday-
Tidus walked down the corridor leading to the Crystal room. He opened the door, walking in, closing the door behind him. "They're safe..." A brown light emitted from the Earth Crystal. "What...?" Tidus studied it closely. The Palace started to shake. So did the rest of the planet. The Earth Crystals' light grew stronger. Tidus threw his hand in front of him, it facing the Earth Crystal. His hand glew brightly, sending a gigantic beam of light from his hand to the Earth Crystal. The Earth Crystals' light started to fade away. The tremor grew smaller, 'til it stopped. "I've got to tell the others..."
-Cloud's Home, Current Time-
"What the hell was that about?" Cloud pondered. He reached to his cellphone, snapping it off his belt, pulling it to his face. It rang suddenly. Surprised, Cloud reached halfway to his back, realizing it was his phone. He examined the screen. "Damnit, Tidus..." He pulled up the covering and put it to a cradle. "Yo."
'Something's wrong.'
"What's wrong?"
'That's why I called you. Do you know anything?'
"Err. No. I'm at home."
'You lazy bum.'
"Love you too."
'Enough jokes. We need to get to the bottom of this.'
"I'm watching television."
'So you still don't know anything, even watching T.V.?'
"Hold on. There's an emergency broadcast." The screen shone dimly.
'............Well? What is it?'
"...Err. Something about the corruption with the planet's core, and people having to leave the planet."
'Pathetic scientists.'
"Those are SOLDIER's scientist's too, fag."
'Quit looking in the mirror and get your bottom to the airship!'
"Whyyy?"
'Cloud, no time for jokes, I told you that.'
"Mmkay, hun."
'Don't call me that.'
"Whatever you say, hun."
'*sigh* ...Just get over here.'
"Right." Cloud shut his phone. He stood from his spot, clicking the remote's power button. The television screen made a clicking sound, turning off. Cloud mumbled mockingly. Reaching to the door, he saw his motorbike. Smiling, he swung the door open, closing it behind him on the way out. He whistled a tune while stepping to the vehicle. The hero's feet made crackling sounds when pushing down on the grass. Landing upon it, he turned the key which shined from the inferno which was called the sun. The bike rummed to life, Cloud stepped on the pedal, and he rode off to his destination.
-Macalania Pass, Current Time-
Maynard sat lazily in a cave while his communicator radio rung. "Aww, hell." One of his eels, Elsa, reached to the speaker, wrapping around it and bringing it to Maynard's cold lips. "Hello?"
'Maynard. We have a problem.'
"Couldn't be cold where you're at, could it?"
'It's about the earthquake.'
"What earthquake?"
'THE earthquake.'
"I didn't feel nothin'."
'Check outside, at the ice bridge leading to the temple.'
"...Fine." Maynard reached up to the speaker, gripping it, and ordering Elsa to look at the bridge. The snake-like creature slithered to his ear, speaking a foreign language into it. "...Really...? Tidus."
'Yeah.'
"It's fallen."
'That's what I'd expect... The Earth Crystal's done that.'
"What'd you do?!"
'It's not what I did. It's what someone ELSE, did.'
"That's weird."
'It is. I need you to get to the airship. .........Maynard?'
"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming."
'Great. See you then.'
"Yeah... right..." Maynard lifted his form up, wrapping his robes around him more tightly. He teleported away to his destination.
-Unknown Laboratory, Current Time-
"The airship? What for?" Vincent spoke with a deep voice.
'Tidus said there was trouble.'
"I see. I'll be there in a jiff." Vincent tapped the button for the off switch on the screen. He cracked his knuckles, blurring quickly away to the flying device.
-A Few Calls Later, At The Airship, Current Time-
"Alright everyone. I called you here... For a very dangerous situation. It seems I need your help again." Tidus scanned the row of warriors.
Zeik Hunter waved. "I'm in, whatever it's about."
Saito was eager to speak. "Me too."
Vincent Valentine's crimson eyes gleamed. "Hmph."
Cloud Strife just nodded.
Maynard spat on the ground. "Yeah..."
"So I see you all are prepared, even when I'm about to tell you this?"
"Yep."
"Yuh-huh."
"Indeed."
"Always ready to save the world. Sort of."
"Whatever."
Tidus smirked. It then faded quickly. "The thing I'm about to tell you... May very well change your lives. Someone, or something, has gained the ability to control not only the power of the Crystal's, but the planet itself. Someone with that much power could obliderate existence all in itself. Without even trying."
"Yo. I thought only the Crystals could control THIS planet."
"Wrong, Cloud. The Crystals were destroyed by the being known as Ex-Death. Because of that incident, the Crystals were generated once more, with all the powers of the Aeons, Espers, Eidolons, and mystic beings, such as the Ruby Weapon, etcetera."
"And?" Vincent outbursted.
"And...? We need to kill this thing." Tidus answered.
Vincent sighed deeply. "How do we know it's a BAD creature?"
Tidus raised his finger, opening his mouth. "--"
"We don't." Maynard interrupted.
Tidus frowned. "Then we must at least FIND it."
Cloud chuckled. "I want to watch my high definition television, not search for something we don't know about, or where it is."
"Silence, Cloud! I keel you!"
Darkness covered the room. It consumed the walls, to the point where the heroes could only see each other.
"What the hell...?" Saito raised a brow.
A voice, terrible as the devil of hell, spoke with a bone chilling voice. "Why, so, serious?"
Cloud crunched his glove up.
Tidus' arm transformed into a diamond magick-enfused one.
Vincent's claw clanked against the hilt of his pistol.
Zeik spun his fangs out extremely quickly.
Saito held his scythe close to his small body.
Maynard stood his ground.
"I asked a question. Now answer!" Five Zwiehanders, the size of Dragon heads, rained upon the party.
They all moved quickly, Tidus firing a great beam of light at the directions of the gigantic Zwiehanders. They all had been struck with this light, sending them into oblideration.
The voice traveled fast, taunting them.
Zeik had swiftly scanned the area, sending waves of wind at the areas he did so.
Vincent was more careful than all, conserving his bullets 'til he needed them most.
The grass ruffled in the coming winds.
Suddenly had the party heard a scream. They all turned to face Saito being held by a stranger.
"Well well! You're all very quick! 'Cept this one. He should be punished..." The man cackled at the end of his short speech. He quickly raised his arm, gauntlet around his bottom half, and a hidden blade struck through an opening. "What do you think?! MEHEHEHEHEHE!"
Vincent didn't hesitate. He shot straight at the stranger's head, and it seemed to pass through him.
"Missed me, now you gotta--" The man blurred from sight then. A cut appeared on Vincent's lip. "kiss me!! GYAHAHAHA!"
"Who are you, you monster?!" Tidus cried impatiently.
"Patience is a virtue, Tiddlydumpcious." A voice replied.
The blonde haired fury had always hated when people called him a mocking name. "I'll rip your head off, you maggot!!"
"Feisty aren't we?" The cloaked man landed behind Cloud. "My name is Raz. Rhymes with spazz. Which this one is." He pricked a hair off of Cloud's head.
"Enough foolishness," Cloud spoke. He swung Ultima Weapon at the other, and it stopped.
The stranger's finger swung left and right in front of Cloud's face. "You're pretty weak. Shouldn't be able to wield this weapon. Ahh, yes, youth craves power. It's actually true." Raz patted his opponent's cheek.
Cloud bit at his finger. He missed.
When Cloud moved his head forward, Raz reacted with a poke in his eye.
He dropped Ultima Weapon, it landing on the soft grass.
Maynard sent the eels at him, they both snapped at the figure.
With such great speed, the man punted the two back to their master. Raz bowed to Maynard, and blurred away, along with the Ultima Weapon.
"This guy is getting on my last nerves!" Cloud shouted, extremely annoyed.
Tidus looked infuriated, though, he was breathing heavitly. "How did that immature of a person learn how to control that much speed and strength!!"
"I'm not immature. I just like to have FUN! Hahaha, ha." Raz appeared on top of a log. "Thanks for the splendid blade. I always needed an extra. Pip pip, cheerio, off I go and such. Have to run. Ta-ta!" At the last 'ta', the mysterious person faded away into the wind.
